NB 393 was launched on the 17th of April 1952 and delivered on the 4th of June 1952. IMO no. 5169538. Her first owner was Rederij Mulder-Wortelboer / Bodewes, Groningen, The Netherlands. Her dimensions where Loa/ /breadth/maindeck = 56.67m/9.05m/4.85m. With a Deadweight of 890 tonnes, GT 499. She had the following mutations: In 1965 sold to Georg Lürhs, Hamburg and renamed “Claus Lührs”. In 1985 sold to Richard Krauss, Hamburg and renamed “Claus L”. In 1986 renamed “Pedro de Sula”. In 1987 renamed “Anneliese”. On the 26th of February 1989 she was sailing from Wismar to Gunnes, with fertilizer cargo. In a heavy storm, 30 Miles from Texel, she lost her engine power and became adrift. The crew left the boat and was rescued by marine helicopters. On the 27th of February she was stranded on Texel.
